My Yoga Journey
My Yoga journey started 25 years ago when I attended my first Yoga class- in a Wimbledon squash court! A good friend convinced me to join her yoga class (I was reluctant!) I loved it and was hooked right away. It was dynamic yoga practice and the hall was full of students each week. But then the teacher moved on. 25 years ago, yoga classes was not popular like today and classes were quite hard to find!
In 2001 I was working as a school teacher (and on weekends an aerobics instructor :)) I was looking for Yoga teacher training. Meanwhile, Pilates came along on the scene. I did the Pilates instructor Training and worked as a Pilates teacher for a while.
In 2008 while living in Asia, I finally found the Yoga teacher I had been looking for.
I started my Yoga Teacher Training at the International Yoga Centre (IYC) of Singapore with Joan Seow.
Joan was trained in both Iyengar and Shadow Yoga. As a very highly regarded instructor, in Japan and Singapore, I was very lucky to be accepted in her last Teacher course before she retired.
I spent 4 years under her guidance and completed
RYS 500 hour Yoga teacher training.
Now here in UK,I am excited to share all I learned and and pass on the tradition.
My aim is to share yoga and help others discover the benefits and possibilities the ancient art of Yoga offers.
